Scary Incident
So for once I have some news that is NOT about Sammy! :) It was kind of scary, actually. The house we live in is kind of isolated because there are no houses very close and the house is set down a little hill. So last week a kind of creepy-looking guy came looking for a storage unit, which was fine and I gave him prices and let him look at a few and he said he would be back, but never came back to rent one. But he did come back Friday night and sat in his car up on the street behind the house, watching the house for over an hour. Of course Robert wasn't home from work yet, so it made me a little nervous but I figured I was being overly jumpy and didn't do anything about it. But yesterday, when I came home from my lunch break, he was sitting on the street behind the house again! So I got Sammy in the house, dead-bolted all the doors and called the police. They sent over three units and made him go away. He claims he was just sitting there texting his ex because he didn't want to do it in front of his kids, but the cops gave him a severe warning to stay away from us and if he comes around again we can pursue legal action. Hopefully it never comes to that, but as I have been thinking about this incident, it made me realize how grateful I am that I always have someone I can call upon when I feel threatened or in trouble. Many people think police are just for speeders or the criminals, but they are here for the everyday citizen, too. I just wanted to express my gratitude for these brave people that risk their lives to protect ours.
Tummy Time
Sammy's First Major Milestone!
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get a picture of this awesome event, but today Sammy rolled over for the first time. A major milestone for a baby. He just decided he wanted to do it, and did it! He hasn't really been trying or practicing or anything, he just suddenly did it when I put him on the floor for some tummy time. And, not only did he just roll over, he did it three times in a row before he got tired of entertaining Mommy! Hooray for my little boy! :)

O Frabjous Day! Callooh! Callay! I Chortle in my Joy!
Today is one of great celebrating and joy in the Skousen household. I have graduated with my Bachelor's in Nursing and have finished school completely, or at least for the time being!!! For the first time in my life, I have no more school to look forward to. It is a great and wonderful feeling, I must say. This last semester was quite difficult with managing the storage units and having a baby while still taking 18 credits online. But thanks to a wonderful husband, a very loving and available Oma and some very considerate teachers, I have made it through mostly unscathed! :) Just thought I would share my joy with all of you today, especially since I won't be walking I had to do something to make it feel a little more real.

Hiccups
This morning Sammy had the hiccups, it was so cute! A customer came in to the office and Sammy was hiccuping away and thought he was so adorable (it was a little old man)! I couldn't resist, so here's what Sammy sounds like when he's got the hiccups.

Some Random Photos
These are some I wanted to share, but didn't know what to put them under, so here they are! The first is a pic of one of Samy's new outfits that I absolutely love on him. The other is Sammy in what we have dubbed "The Burrito Wrap". I had to get him up to take Daddy to work one day so I could have the car. As you can see, he doesn't really mind too much. :)
Talkin' with Daddy
This video we took over the weekend. Sammy sure loves his Daddy! We have really enjoyed getting Sammy to smile, talk and even laugh a few times. It's so much fun each time he learns a new trick, I just can't believe how much he has grown! They definitely grow too fast!
